Client’s Profile:
The client, Motherson Sumi Ltd. is the largest manufacturer of integrated wiring harnesses for the automotive industry in India. Motherson Sumi has established itself as a name that leading automotive ORMs from across the globe bank upon for a complete range of system solutions- from research, design & development to end-to-end production and supply. Their present product range of MSSL comprises wiring harnesses (electrical distribution systems), rearview mirrors, moulded plastic parts including car interior and exterior parts, bumpers, dashboards and door trims, complete polymer modules, rubber components for automotive and industrial applications, high precision machined metal parts and injection moulding tools.
Description of Project:
The project needed to include:
- labor & machine tracking and feedback reporting.
- Streamlining data gathering – such as raw materials, components, and subcomponents – to provide better oversight.
- Effectively managing and monitoring distribution across geographies by automating manual operations.
- Automating manual tasks - from the initial pick-up request to tracking and reporting shipment status between portals and internal systems.
- Speeding delivery times and improving customer satisfaction by simplifying order processing.
Challenge:
- They wanted a process automation solution in which a minimum of 250-300 fields needed to be managed and at the end, an analysis report need to be generated.
- This process must be done in such a way that people’s much time must be saved.
Solution:
- We made a whole Process automation solution wherein 250-300 form fields were taken and report analysis sheets were generated.
- These needed to be generated online in the form of Excel sheet by taking all the entries automated.
Result:
- Our solution integrated digitization into their processes and improved growth, quality, and efficiency.
- We upgraded their production processes and business functions, achieving increased profitability, and labor relief.
- Lots of time got saved.
- The efficiency of work got increased to much extent.
